Job Description
Risk Transformation Programme – Transformation Division
The position will have the following roles, but not limited to:
Play a pivotal role in safeguarding the bank's financial health by leading the transformation of our risk management practices. Implementation of innovative systems and processes to enhance risk identification, assessment, and mitigation. By fostering a culture of risk awareness and continuous improvement, will ensure the bank operates within a robust risk management framework.
Scope of work:
- Strategic Risk Transformation Roadmap:
Develop a comprehensive risk transformation strategy aligned with the bank's overall business objectives.
Lead the creation of a detailed roadmap for implementing new risk management systems and processes.
Identify and prioritize key initiatives to improve risk identification, assessment, and mitigation capabilities.
Champion a culture of risk awareness and embed risk management principles across the organization.
- Technology & Process Implementation:
Oversee the selection, implementation, and integration of new risk management technology solutions.
Lead the redesign and optimization of risk management processes to leverage technology and enhance efficiency.
Ensure new systems and processes align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Team Leadership & Talent Development:
Build and lead a high-performing team of risk management transformation professionals.
Develop and implement talent management programs to attract, retain, and develop risk and transformation expertise within the team.
Foster a collaborative and learning environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Risk Transformation team.
- Lead the development and implementation of risk transformation initiatives.
- Develop and maintain budgets and forecasts for the risk transformation program.
- Manage and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the risk management framework.
- Prepare regular reports on the progress of the risk transformation program to senior management and regulatory bodies.
- Other tasks as directed by the Transformation Leadership Board and the Bank Leadership Board.
Job Requirements
Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
Experience with risk management transformation methodologies and best practices.
In-depth understanding of financial services regulations and risk management frameworks (e.g., Basel III, Solvency II, FRTB). Familiarity with relevant risk management technologies (e.g., Risk Information Systems - RIS, stress testing tools).
Strong project management skills.
Proven experience in financial services risk management, with a track record of leading major transformation initiatives. Expertise in change management is a plus.
(Not mandatory, but a plus) Certified in risk-related qualifications such as Certified in Governance, Risk and Compliance (CGRP), Financial Risk Manager (FRM), or similar certifications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders at all levels.
